Critiques
I think a lot of artists would have been tempted to go hell for leather in photoshop and milk dry the purple and blue hues of the sky or maybe even introduce a whole new colour artificially but this piece work's on it's natural and subtle tones. There is just enough, the perect amount in fact,of colour in the sky to balance the green in the foreground and the whole piece allows the eye to rest easily within it's frame with no distracting objects or wayward lines.
As this is a critique I think I'd be doing a dis-service were I not to make a suggestion so I think maybe the slightest of tweaks on the contrast could bring alive the foreground a little or possibly a slight increase of the sharpness to that area.....but really it's minor tweaks and I can imagine both having a negative effect on the subtlety and restrained hand that mark's this shot out from others like it.
The only real negative thing I can think to say is that this only has fifteen faves,I think that is criminal.
I want this on my wall.
