Many thanks. it's a very strange and atmospheric place. It is a 3 mile long spit of land that is only about 40feet wide in places, on one side is the River Humber and on the other side the North Sea. There was a fort here in the Napoleonic wars, and the first and second world wars.
Now there are about four houses where the coast guards and life boat crew live with there families, they're often cut off from the mainland when the road gets washed away in heavy winter storms.

Quite scary, if I imagine to live there. But still, it's definitly a place worth seeing. Thanks for sharing the pictures :)
Is there a town near? I just got the idea to search the place on a map.
:icontaffmeister:
If you find Kingston Upon Hull on the east coast then follow the river humber to it's mouth you can't miss it, a very thin strip of land between the river and the north sea. I think I will go back in the winter. :)
