 wow i love music, playing musical instruments is my passion and i love pictures of violins with roses...just wish people would get the same kind of inspiration from wind instruments...hmm i think i just got myself an idea, not with my instruments at the moment had to part with them to go on holiday and it's too dry here to bring my clarinet it would crack :'(
Music has been the biggest part of me for the last thirty years. I've been in bands since before leaving school in many genres from classical to jazz, blues, rock, metal and folk/traditional and I hate being away from my instruments for too long but at least I work in a music shop so there is always something to have a play with.
There are quite a few shots of my various instruments back in the depths of my gallery. You should try doing some detail shots of the clarinet on a black background and experiment with the light. This was shot on a chair by a window and I used a piece of white card as a reflector to soften the shadows.  -- All mankind deserves respect untill proven otherwise! ooo i like that idea i shall have a try when i get back! thanks! i like that kind of helpful reply! hehe. wish i could work at a music shop did you have to have certain qualifications? i'm job hunting you see... what's your main instrument?
My only qualifications for this job were years of playing musical instruments and repairing them and dealing with people.
If I have to have a main instrument I would have to say guitar but I also play bouzouki, mandolin, cittern, bass guitar, double bass, violin, flute, drums, harmonica, concertina, scottish small pipes and I sing. Oh! and shakey egg.  -- All mankind deserves respect untill proven otherwise! wow!!! that's quite a collection. I play Clarinet, Double bass, piano, flute, fife, recorder, harmonica, and a bit of accordian. Maybe i'll enquire at my local music shop then! thanks

-- Arguing with someone on the internet is like mud wrestling with a pig. After a while you realise the pig likes it. Quite a lot in the first few years of playing then less so.
